A small, creative group of artists joined forces in the summer of 1993 to form what is known as the Clinch Appalachian Artisans Cooperative or "Clinch Artists". The Jubilee Project in Sneedville, a group of United Methodist Church missionaries who helped to organize the crafters in the beginning, continues to support the efforts of local artists and houses their gift shop, which is open year round to the public. Sneedville, Tennessee is located in Hancock County in the Northeastern part of the state and is a rural, historic community of about 6700 residents. The county lies between Clinch Mountain to the south and the Powell Mountains to the north. The Clinch River runs through the middle of the county and is known as one of the cleanest rivers in the United States. The wildlife is abundant and the scenery breathtaking---inspiration enough to want to live and work here and use some of our natural resources to create the beautiful pieces you will find in our Gallery.

In our Gallery you will find handmade corn brooms, wooden spoons and other kitchen utensils, silver and glass bead jewelry, stained glass panels and ornaments, woven shawls and scarves, painted cedar bird and butterfly pins and ornaments, handmade stamped and photo cards, wool Americana hooked rugs, an assortment of ornaments representing the work of many of our artists, carved wood and gourds, turned wood bowls, goat milk soap and candles, herbal products such as salves, lotions, lip balms and body oils, Tennessee walking sticks and much, much more. Please, come in and we'll show you around.
